Comprehensive eye tests in Lancaster

Thorough eye exams for complete peace of mind

A typical eye examination will last approximately 30 - 40 minutes. When you arrive at Welbourne Opticians you will be greeted by our friendly reception team who will offer you a seat and a drink while you wait for your appointment.

When it is time for your eye examination, you will be led to the consultation room where our optometrist will ask some questions about your eyes and overall health.

Using specialist optical equipment our optometrist will thoroughly assess the health of your eyes and test your vision.

All of our eye examinations include retinal photography and visual field testing, which help us to detect early signs of eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

If you are concerned about a sudden change to your eyesight, such as blurred or obscured vision, painful, red or swollen eyes, flashes or floaters, then do not hesitate to contact us for an emergency eye appointment so we can diagnose and recommend the appropriate treatment.
